It’s not ideal but, for me, if it helps spread awareness of technology and hacking and helps meld together the fragmented mess that is the tech community where I live then it’s good!

I feel that the reason that we’ve opted for this approach is that we’re almost having to create the hacker scene and then give it a home. To say that I’ve done everything to promote the space and draw in members would be a lie/overstatement, but there has definitely been a struggle to at least get people to come, let alone to gather enough interest and finances to acquire premises.
