		<description>Heh! Great to see a link to that post/rant.  In odd news, I gave a talk 4 years ago at HOPE about 3d printing, and where it was going (or not going).  I just pitched a re-cap of my talk to happen at HOPE #9 this summer (2012).   The long story made short is 4 years ago, 3d printing was a cool research project. Now there are 3-4 commercial 3D printers, a lot of great DIY kits. And ironically,  I&#039;m lucky enough to be Software Developer Coordinator at MakerBot industries.

It&#039;s like the old blessing/curse &#039;May you live in interesting times&#039;, and it will be great to watch what the home replication/de-construction revolution brings over the next 20 years.</description>
